This relaxed 1-hour footbike ride is for adults who would like to be active outdoors, try something different and enjoy time with others in a friendly small-group setting.
Footbiking is a low-impact activity that combines gentle fitness, balance and fresh air. The session is designed for beginners, so no previous footbike experience is needed. You will receive basic instructions before the ride, then enjoy an easy-paced guided ride around Shelley Foreshore.
The focus is not speed or performance. The purpose is to support mental wellbeing by creating a simple opportunity to Act, Belong and Commit: move your body, spend time with others and take part in an activity that feels positive, refreshing and meaningful.
This session may suit adults who want to get out of the house, build confidence with movement, enjoy a mindful outdoor activity or connect with others in a calm and supportive environment.
What is footbiking?
Footbiking uses a big wheels cooter designed for adults. You stand upright, push with one leg, glide, then switch sides.
